Lot 84: A Collection of Vintage Ordnance Survey and Michelin Maps with Travel and Photographic Ephemera
This lot comprises an assortment of vintage cartographic and travel-related materials. The collection includes several Ordnance Survey maps, notably a pink-covered Landranger Series map for Truro & Falmouth (Sheet 204) at a scale of 1:50,000, alongside multiple yellow-covered OS editions. A Michelin road map, No. 426, for Austria (Autriche) is present, featuring a place-name index. The lot also contains a large-format book with a reflective silver-foil cover illustrating various vintage commercial vehicles and haulage firm liveries, including names such as Hudson and Cross. Additional items include a travel guide titled The Rhine, illustrated with knights in plate armour, and a blue folder containing sixty colour souvenir slides of the Vatican. Also included is a vintage yellow cardboard box for Bromesko Silk Paper, marked WL10. The materials are presented in a grey plastic crate and a secondary white cardboard box.
