Lot 889: A Trio of Mahogany Finished Nesting Tables with Inset Glass Tops
A set of three nesting occasional tables of traditional reproduction design. The frames are constructed from wood and wood veneers with a dark mahogany-toned finish and polished surface. Each rectangular top features a sinuous serpentine edge and an inset clear glass panel surrounded by a gilt-metal inner border. The smallest table is distinguished by a dark-coloured woven-texture panel positioned beneath the glass. The tables are supported by four sinuously curved, square-profile legs of a simplified cabriole form. A small white label bearing the number 3 is present on the lower leg of the largest table.
