Lot 906: A Collection of Traditional Woven Willow Picnic Hampers and Baskets
A collection of several traditional woven willow baskets and picnic hampers of various forms and sizes. The group includes a rectangular hamper with a hinged lid, twin leather strap closures, and a central woven handle. Also featured is a large basket with a central fixed arched handle and dual-hinged lids opening to the sides. Further items include smaller carrying baskets and open-topped storage containers, all constructed from woven natural willow. One basket bears an auction tag for HP Auctions South West, Lot 906, and another lid features a handwritten label marked 13.
