Lot 924: A 20th-century Tudor Revival Oak Dresser Upper Section with Leaded Glazing
A Tudor Revival style oak cupboard, specifically the upper section of a dresser or court cupboard, dating from the mid-to-late 20th century. The piece is constructed from oak with a dark-stained finish, featuring an interior back panel with horizontal planking. The central section is configured with two vertically-aligned small cupboard doors, each set with leaded glass in a diamond-lattice or lozenge pattern. These glazed doors are flanked by two larger open shelf compartments. The piece is decorated with traditional carvings, including vertical borders of repeating lunette and guilloche motifs, alongside square panels carved with stylized sunburst or star designs. Hardware includes decorative metal butterfly or H-hinges, a circular ring-pull handle with an ornate foliate backplate, and simple circular button pulls to the glazed doors.
