Lot 1002: Scalextric 300 Electric Model Racing Set
A vintage Scalextric 300 electric model racing set. The set comprises three slot cars: a red Formula 1 style open-wheel car with Shell Oils branding on the rear wing, a red Mini Cooper bearing racing number 3, and a yellow Mini Cooper bearing racing number 2. The components include several sections of black plastic curved track, a power base section with associated wiring, and two hand-held plunger controllers in blue and yellow plastic. Accessories include four white plastic crash barriers featuring blue Dunlop branding and a circular black plastic component marked Scalextric C548-9501. The set is housed in its original illustrated cardboard box lid and base with an internal polystyrene storage tray. Original printed ephemera, including instruction manuals and a service leaflet, are also included. The box lid is marked Scalextric 300 Electric Model Racing.
