Lot 1007: A Mid-Century Modern Teak Dining Suite
A Mid-Century Modern dining suite constructed from teak with a warm honey-toned finish. The suite consists of a round drop-leaf dining table and a set of matching slat-back chairs. The table features a circular top with a straight-edged drop-leaf mechanism, supported by four square-tapered legs. The chairs are designed with high, slightly curved backs featuring vertical slats and are fitted with dark brown upholstered seat pads, standing on similar tapered legs. A small white auction label bearing the handwritten number 1007 is present on the table surface. The suite exhibits design characteristics and construction methods typical of mid-20th-century Danish furniture manufacture.
