Lot 1044: A Mid-Century Modern Teak Dining Suite
A Mid-Century Modern dining suite comprising an oval dining table and a set of matching high-back chairs. The table is constructed with a teak-veneered top featuring a distinctive dark wood stringing inlay that follows the oval contour of the piece. The chairs are fashioned with hardwood frames, three horizontal back slats, and drop-in seat pads upholstered in a mauve-coloured fabric. A small white paper label with the printed number 1044 is attached to the edge of the tabletop. The design and construction materials are characteristic of British furniture manufacture from the 1960s. No maker’s marks or manufacturer stamps are visible on the suite.
