Lot 12: An Assortment of Vintage Garden and Hand Tools Including Handsaws and Earth Rammer
A collection of traditional garden and hand tools, primarily of mid-20th-century manufacture. The assortment includes various earth-working implements such as two half-moon edging irons, a four-prong garden digging fork, and two garden hoes, including a pointed Dutch hoe and a square-headed hoe. Hand tools within the lot feature two large handsaws with wooden handles and a heavy square-headed metal earth rammer with a solid wooden pole handle. One handsaw is fitted with a circular brass medallion inscribed Warranted Superior and Made in England. The tools are constructed from forged or stamped steel with solid wooden shafts, some of which retain traces of original paint in yellow, white, and red. A detached wooden handle fragment is also present.
