Lot 151: Vintage Petrol-Powered Cylinder Lawn Mower
A vintage petrol-powered cylinder lawn mower of mid-20th-century design. The machine features a green-painted steel chassis housing a red-painted multi-blade cutting reel. It is powered by a single-cylinder, four-stroke air-cooled engine which has been non-professionally finished in a gold-coloured paint across the cylinder head, fuel tank, and air filter assembly. The mower includes a heavy metal rear roller and a pull-start mechanism with a black plastic handle at the base. A white adhesive auction label from HCP Auctions South West, marked Lot 151, is affixed to the upper green cowl. The machine’s design and colour scheme are characteristic of British horticultural equipment from this period.
