Lot 221: A Late 19th or Early 20th Century Painted Pine Tool Chest
A utilitarian pine tool chest, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. The chest is of simple plank construction with a hinged lid and reinforced edges, featuring a black painted exterior finish. A small white adhesive label with the digits 221 is located on the upper left corner of the lid. No further maker’s marks or signatures are visible. The chest possesses a heavy industrial patina suitable for use as a storage trunk or coffee table.
