A vintage mechanical physician’s platform scale, identified by the inscription Modell 713. This clinical-style instrument features a heavy-duty cast iron weighing platform and a vertical support column. The column and the dual-sliding poise beam housing are constructed from brushed aluminium. The beam assembly includes two sliding poise weights made of plastic and metal. The housing is inscribed with several technical specifications: Modell 713, Max 130 kg, Min 2 kg, d=e=0,2 kg, and Fabr.Nr. 8 8 6 3 0 6. The lower scale is graduated from 0 to 120 kg in 10 kg increments, while the upper scale is graduated from 0 to 10 kg in 0.2 kg increments. A red balance indicator is visible through a circular aperture at the left end of the beam. A circular service sticker for the Bristol Scale Service Co. is affixed to the centre of the column.
