Lot 257: A Victorian Style Cast Iron Wellington Boot Stand with Integrated Scraper and a Large Composite Stone Relief Moulded Garden Urn
A Victorian style cast iron outdoor boot stand and integral foot scraper. The rectangular base is decorated with ornate scrolling openwork. The unit features a central horizontal scraper blade for removing mud, flanked by two vertical boot-holding posts terminating in spherical ball finials. The stand is constructed from heavy-gauge cast iron. A handwritten paper label attached to the frame reads CAST IRON / Victorian / Welly stand / Foot SCRAPE. The item bears an auction tag from HCP Auctions South West marked Lot 257. Included in the lot is a large garden planter of ovoid amphora form, constructed from composite stone with a pale pinkish-buff surface wash. The planter features a wide flat rim and a small integral pouring lip. The body is encircled by a wide, relief-moulded decorative band depicting a continuous fruiting grapevine with clusters of grapes and large leaves.
