Lot 268: A Pair of Mid-20th-Century Revelation Suitcases
A pair of mid-20th-century Revelation suitcases featuring textured woven fabric or vulcanised fibre exteriors in a brownish-beige tone. The smaller suitcase is fitted with dark metal corner reinforcements and a dark brown plastic handle. The larger suitcase features silver-toned metal hardware and a leather-wrapped handle. Centred between the latches of the larger case is a small square label depicting a stylised striding figure above the text REVELATION. The silver-toned latches on this suitcase are embossed vertically with the word REVELATION. The interior of the larger suitcase is lined with cream-coloured fabric featuring a repeating autumn leaf pattern in shades of orange and brown, and it retains the original brown fabric luggage straps and a metal garment support frame.
