Lot 514: A Collection of Domestic and Collectible Items Including a Sterling Silver Spoon and Beatrix Potter Figurines
A collection of miscellaneous domestic and collectible items, comprising ceramic decorative pieces, flatware, and various household goods. The group includes one sterling silver fiddle pattern spoon, bearing hallmarks for Sheffield, the lion passant sterling standard, a sovereign’s head duty mark, and the date letter u. The maker’s mark is partially legible, possibly GA. The remaining flatware consists of a group of silver-plated spoons and sugar tongs in fiddle and fiddle-and-thread patterns, some bearing marks for EPNS. The lot features two hand-painted ceramic figurines depicting Beatrix Potter characters, including Peter Rabbit. A blue and white salt-glazed ceramic pitcher is decorated with bird and foliate motifs, and a white ceramic piggy bank features nursery-style transfer illustrations. A boxed manicure set is housed in a red textured genuine leather case, containing steel tools marked PALOS Solingen W-Germany. The collection also includes a cardboard box containing a floral fabric lampshade, floral-patterned ceramic teacups, green-rimmed enamel plates, and a blue-handled screwdriver marked TOOLZONE PZ0X75mm.
