Lot 627: An Assortment of Decorative Lighting and Ethnographic Hand Drums
A collection of decorative items comprising table lamps and ethnographic hand drums. The collection features an Art Nouveau style three-light lily lamp with curved stems rising from a cast metal lily pad base, each stem supporting an iridescent glass shade with a graduated colour transition from green to amber. Also included is a cast metal lamp base modelled as a seated cherub or putto, which is currently lacking its shade. The ethnographic items consist of hand-carved wooden drums. The larger drum is tall and slender with a single skin head, a carved integral handle, and a vertical row of attached seed pod rattles. The smaller drum features a skin head secured by rope lashing and a base decorated with blue and white geometric painted designs. Visible markings include white labels with the handwritten number 13 and a printed auction lot label.
