Lot 653: A Set of Hand-Painted Mediterranean Ceramic Plates Signed Spyridou
A set of circular ceramic decorative plates, each featuring a hand-painted Mediterranean village landscape. The scenes depict traditional whitewashed architecture with stone steps and potted plants, rendered in a loose, painterly style. The collection is comprised of two larger plates and two smaller plates, divided into two distinct colourways: one pair featuring mauve-toned borders and the other pair featuring teal-coloured borders. Each plate bears a hand-painted signature reading Spyridou in cursive script, integrated into the landscape decoration. The reverse of the plates is not visible, and no additional manufacturer marks are present.
Large plates diameter: 25cm – 30cm
Small plates diameter: 15cm – 20cm.
