Lot 678: A Large Collection of Miscellaneous Silver-Plated Wares and Collectables
An extensive miscellaneous collection comprising silver-plated domestic items and curios. The lot includes three circular bowls with decorative pierced openwork borders, one featuring a side scroll handle. Also present is a cased set of six dessert forks with foliate-patterned handles, housed in a presentation box with a cream satin lining marked MADE IN ENGLAND. A large assortment of smaller items is contained within a blue plastic crate, including a pair of nutcrackers with relief-moulded foliate decoration, a textured beaker, miniature goblets, a small circular picture frame, a rectangular metal box, and a wristwatch. The collection is completed by a substantial quantity of loose flatware, primarily tea and dessert spoons, and an individual commemorative spoon in a fitted purple-lined case. Items appear to be of British manufacture dating from the late 19th through the mid-20th century, with many likely bearing EPNS marks or British hallmarks.
