This natural history specimen consists of a polished slice of a banded agate geode. The internal structure exhibits well-defined concentric banding in shades of caramel brown, cream, and translucent bluish-grey. At the centre of the specimen is a small vug or cavity containing fine, sparkling druzy quartz crystals. The outer edge of the slice retains its natural, dark, and rugged matrix rind. The front face has been polished to a high-gloss finish. The specimen is accompanied by a clear plastic container with two labels: a printed label for Lot 701 from HCP Auctions South West and a handwritten label identifying the item as a semi-precious geode agate rock with the reference number 2818.
