Lot 902: A Set of Four French Oak and Rush Dining Chairs by Charles Dudouyt
A set of four oak dining chairs by Charles Dudouyt in the Jacobean Revival style. Each chair is designed with a high back and a shaped top rail over a central splat decorated with a prominent carved circular boss. The seats are finished with traditional woven rush. The chairs are constructed with square-section rear legs and decoratively turned front legs, all integrated by turned stretchers. Mortise and tenon joinery is visible at the corners of the seat frames.
