Lot 986: A Collection of Decorative Items Including Signed Botanical Watercolors by PH Graver and a Three-Tier Stand
This collection includes an assortment of framed artworks, a novelty wooden board, and a three-tier furniture stand with assorted sundries. The primary artworks consist of two botanical studies executed in watercolor on paper. One depicts a spray of summer field flowers including poppies, oxeye daisies, and ears of wheat, signed PH GRAVER to the lower right. The second watercolor depicts a cluster of primroses and grape hyacinths. Both are presented in cream mounts within glazed wooden frames featuring gilt slip borders. The group also includes two small tinted illustrative prints of anthropomorphic animals, a duck and a mouse, in dark wood frames. The novelty wooden board is shaped like a violin and features black-painted f-holes and a handle with a circular cutout. It bears an auction label for HCP Auctions South West Lot 988. The furniture is a dark-stained three-tier circular stand or dumbwaiter with metal medallions on the supports. Included with the stand are a black camera bag, an open grey plastic tool kit with various tools and sockets, and a miniature framed landscape painting.
