Lot 1034: Mid-century retro red and white painted freestanding kitchen larder unit
A freestanding two-section vintage kitchen larder unit dating from the mid-20th century, circa 1950s-1960s. The piece features a bold red and white painted finish with a kitsch aesthetic. The upper section consists of two cupboards with inset textured, obscured glass panels and a larger compartment to the right with an inset decorative pressed metal ventilation panel. The lower section includes a bottom-hinged hopper-style storage bin and additional cupboard space. The interior of the unit is lined throughout with a red and white polka-dot patterned surface. The unit is fitted with original chrome-finished D-style bow handles and surface-mounted butt hinges. Two auction lot labels are present on one of the glass doors.
