Lot 1038: A Jacobean Revival Carved Oak Court Cupboard
An oak court cupboard in the Jacobean Revival style, constructed from solid oak with a dark stained finish. The two-tier structure comprises an upper section with a central cupboard door, recessed from the front and flanked by angled side panels. The overhanging top cornice is finished with carved dentil-style moulding and supported by two turned pendant drop finials. The lower section includes two frieze drawers featuring vertical fluted carving, situated above a pair of large cupboard doors. Each door is embellished with a carved geometric diamond-shaped panel centred by a stylised floral motif. The piece is fitted with brass-toned butterfly hinges and small drop handles. The interior provides four separate cupboard spaces and two drawers for storage. No manufacturer marks or stamps are visible on the exterior surfaces.
