This lot features a mid-20th-century rectangular vitreous enamel sign for the Coal Utilisation Council (CUC), a British organisation established in 1932. The sign is finished in yellow with a central blue rondel and black and white lettering reading COAL UTILISATION COUNCIL, Approved COAL Merchant, and DIPLOMA. To the left is the CUC triple-diamond logo. Also included is a military-style pressed steel fuel storage canister, commonly called a Jerry can, with a red painted finish, standard X reinforcement ribs, and a flip-top locking filler cap. The collection further includes a round galvanised steel utility tub with a wire bail handle and an assortment of weathered garden tools, including a spring-tine lawn rake, a garden fork head, hedge shears, a hand trowel, and a spare wooden handle.
