A pair of vintage hand axes comprising one large felling or splitting axe and one smaller hatchet. The tools feature forged steel heads mounted on wooden handles, likely crafted from ash or hickory. The larger axe is fitted with a straight timber handle, while the smaller hatchet possesses a curved wooden shaft. No manufacturer stamps or maker’s marks are discernible on the metalwork or timber handles due to surface weathering and oxidation. The head of the larger axe retains a white adhesive auction label for HCP Auctions South West, Lot 183.
