Lot 260: Vintage Mechanical Beam Balance Floor Scale Modell 713
A vintage mechanical beam balance floor scale, designed for clinical or industrial weighing. The instrument features a vertical metal support column topped with a horizontal beam housing constructed from brushed aluminium and fitted with black plastic end caps. The weighing system utilises two sliding poise weights positioned on twin tracks. The upper track is graduated from 0 to 10 kg in 0.1 kg increments, and the lower track is graduated from 0 to 120 kg in 10 kg increments, providing a maximum capacity of 130 kg. A circular viewing aperture at the end of the beam allows for the observation of the balance indicator needle. The assembly is set upon a heavy square metal base with a textured, dark-finished platform. The faceplate is marked with the inscriptions Modell 713, Max 130 kg Min 2 kg d = e = 0,2 kg, and Fabr. Nr. 8 8 6 3 0 6. A modern paper auction label reading Lot 260 is adhered to the beam housing.
