Lot 269: A Vintage Metal Cantilever Toolbox and an Assortment of Hand Tools
A mid-to-late 20th-century steel five-tray cantilever toolbox featuring a double-hinged lid and twin folding handles. The toolbox contains an assortment of hand tools, including a blue vinyl roll of Mascot combination spanners in sizes 9mm to 17mm, manufactured from polished chrome vanadium. Branded items within the collection include a Stanley wood chisel with a black plastic handle, a Fuller screwdriver, and a Black & Decker grinding disc. Also present is a claw hammer with a wooden handle, various pliers, loose spanners including a 17mm chrome vanadium example, and masonry drill bits, one of which remains in original packaging marked with a 69p price. The lid of the toolbox carries a handwritten label reading full of Tools of All sorts old & new, and a worn metal identification plate is fixed to one end.
