Lot 291: An Assortment of Terracotta and Glazed Garden Planters, Stoneware Vessels, and a Cast Iron Ornament
A collection of varied garden ornaments and planters. The group includes a large bulbous terracotta jar of ovoid form with a flared rim, exhibiting a weathered surface and mineral deposits. A tall cylindrical stoneware flagon features a narrow neck and an ochre salt-glaze finish. The planters consist of a large blue-glazed ceramic pot, a traditional tapered terracotta pot with moss accumulation, and a grey ribbed metal bucket with natural fibre rope handles. Additionally, the lot contains a cream-glazed stoneware crock and a secondary large terracotta planter of rounded form. Included is a decorative cast iron lizard ornament with a textured surface. A contemporary auction label is present on one vessel.
