Lot 304: Antique Wooden and Iron Wagon Wheel Hub
An antique wooden wagon wheel hub, also known as a nave. The object is constructed from a solid timber core reinforced with multiple heavy-gauge iron bands. The central bore is fitted with an internal iron axle sleeve. The body features several visible rectangular mortise holes designed to house wheel spokes. A forged iron strap is attached to one end of the hub. A modern adhesive label is affixed to the side, printed with the text: HCP Auctions South West, Lot 304, www.hcpauctions.net.
