Lot 452: An Assortment of Lustre-Glaze Ceramic Tea and Coffee Wares, Gilt-Rimmed Glassware, and Enamelware
This lot comprises a collection of domestic ceramics, glassware, and enamelware. The principal component is a partial tea and coffee service of porcelain construction with an iridescent pearlescent lustre finish over a cream ground, decorated with gold-tone floral transfer motifs. This service includes a coffee pot with lid, a teapot with a decorative patterned shoulder band and lid, a double-handled sugar bowl with lid, a cream jug, and various cups and saucers.
The collection also contains multiple white porcelain tea cups decorated with blue and brown foliate and floral sprays.
The glassware consists of a set of six clear glass stemmed dessert coupes or wide-rimmed wine glasses, each featuring a broad gold-gilt rim and a short tapered stem.
Also included is a white enamel rectangular deep dish with a dark blue rim, containing a matching small circular bowl.
