Lot 476: Schneider MIDI AV 1500 Compact Stereo Sound System and Speakers
A Schneider MIDI AV 1500 audio visual compact stereo sound system, comprising a central unit and a pair of matching bookshelf speakers. The central unit features an integrated top-loading belt-drive turntable with an automatic shut-off mechanism and a smoked plastic cover. Below the turntable is an analogue radio tuner covering LW, MW, and FM bands, featuring a slider tuning dial and a music level meter. The control section includes a five-band graphic equaliser with sliding controls, alongside balance and volume sliders and a function selector for tape, phono/CD/TV, and radio bands. The bottom section houses a double cassette deck consisting of one playback deck and one record/playback deck, featuring a high-speed dubbing system (HDS), an automatic relay system (ARS), and front-loading soft-eject mechanisms. The matching speakers are finished in black with fixed fabric grilles and bear the Schneider and AV logos. The system is a solid-state transistorised unit housed in a black plastic cabinet.
