Buyer's Premium:

This lot consists of two ceramic vessels of differing origins and styles. The first is a Moroccan glazed earthenware vase of elongated teardrop form, featuring a wide base tapering to a narrow neck. The exterior is hand-painted with dark blue and black motifs over a vibrant turquoise ground. The decoration consists of repeating almond-shaped panels containing stylised floral and foliate designs. The turquoise-glazed base bears hand-painted script-like characters in a dark pigment. A single circular hole is located near the base. The second item is a two-tone salt-glazed stoneware utility jar or flagon. It features a cylindrical body with a rounded shoulder, narrow neck, and a single loop handle. The upper portion is finished in a mustard-brown salt glaze over a cream-coloured body. The base is unglazed and shows no discernible maker’s marks or stamps.
