Lot 505: A Pair of Japanese Style Glazed Ceramic Cat Figurines
This lot comprises a pair of ceramic cat figurines in a stylized, globular form. Each piece features a mottled celadon green glaze with a speckled texture. The decorative elements, including the ears, eyes, whiskers, and nose, are made of unglazed terracotta-coloured clay. Both figurines have a striped tail in alternating brown and buff tones wrapped around the base. The underside of the larger figurine reveals a buff-coloured clay body with two circular ventilation holes. No maker marks, signatures, or factory stamps are present.
