Lot 512: A Vintage Silver-Plated Three-Tier Folding Cake Stand
This three-tier folding cake or sandwich stand is constructed from silver-plated metal. The piece features three circular plates, each decorated with a wide, intricately pierced scrolling foliate border and a central embossed scrolling medallion. The plates are held within a central frame featuring a hinged scrolling bale handle that allows the unit to fold for storage. The stand is supported by a simple circular pedestal base. Stamped marks comprising four small rectangular cartouches are present on the central vertical support beneath the top tier; however, the specific characters within these marks are not clearly legible.
