Lot 519: Benson Les Paul Style Electric Guitar in Blueburst Finish
A Benson Les Paul style single-cutaway solid body electric guitar. The instrument features a blue-to-black sunburst finish, commonly referred to as blueburst, with a cream-coloured single-ply pickguard and matching body and neck binding. The neck is fitted with a dark wood fretboard featuring pearloid trapezoid inlays. The headstock displays the Benson maker mark in a script-style inlay and is equipped with six chrome-plated closed-back tuning machines with kidney-shaped buttons and a black three-screw bell-shaped truss rod cover. Electronics include two humbucking pickups with chrome-plated covers and cream mounting rings, a three-way toggle selector switch, and four black speed-style control knobs for volume and tone. The bridge is a chrome-plated Tune-o-matic style with a stopbar tailpiece. A lot sticker numbered 519 and a piece of masking tape with handwritten markings are adhered to the body.
