Lot 541: A Trio of Wedgwood Bone China Decorative Items Including a 2003 Calendar Plate
This lot consists of three pieces of Wedgwood bone china, including a 2003 Calendar Plate produced for the Daily Mail. The circular display plate features transfer-printed decoration with a central 2003 medallion surrounded by a floral wreath and twelve monthly calendars. The outer border is elaborately decorated with seasonal flora, including snowdrops, daffodils, lilies, irises, autumn leaves, and holly, separated by scrolls marked Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. The second item is a scalloped shell-shaped coquille dish, decorated with a transfer-printed floral border of blue and purple blossoms with green foliage. The third item is an oval sweetmeat basket featuring a scalloped rim and a central twisted rope handle, sprigged with small, scattered multi-coloured floral blossoms in shades of red, yellow, and blue. The collection is presented in a blue Wedgwood brand box with a gold printed logo.
