Lot 557: An Assortment of Aynsley Floral Porcelain and Commemorative Decorative Wares
An assortment of decorative ceramic and metal items, featuring Aynsley Wild Tudor floral-encrusted porcelain trinket boxes and a swan-form posy holder. The collection includes a rectangular porcelain tray decorated with a multicoloured floral sprig pattern and a green-lined rim, and a square serving dish with a reticulated lattice border and central hand-painted floral decoration. Also present is a circular plate with gilt and silvered bamboo and kingfisher motifs on a cream ground, and a plate with a traditional Chinese-style floral border. Metalware elements include a small brass candlestick and a boxed solid pewter dish issued for the 1977 Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, embossed with the royal crown and the text 1977 THE QUEEN’S SILVER JUBILEE. A boxed set of three circular holders in a textured stone-like material is also included.
