Lot 569: A Collection of Crystal and Glass Elephant Figurines Including Bohemia and Lenox Examples
A collection of crystal and glass elephant figurines in various styles and sizes. The assortment includes a standing lead crystal elephant bearing a Bohemia Crystal label from the Czech Republic, which specifies a lead oxide content of over 24 per cent. Also present is a seated crystal elephant with a Lenox Fine Crystal label, manufactured in the Czech Republic. The collection further features a mirrored glass display stand with a vertical back and two integrated small glass elephants, alongside a rectangular faceted glass block containing a three-dimensional internal laser-etched elephant. Completing the group are several clear glass elephants in assorted standing and seated poses, including a hand-blown figure with a slight amber-tinted body and a miniature glass elephant.
