Lot 580: A Collection of Vintage British Ceramic Tableware including Alfred Meakin, Myott, and S. Hancock and Sons
A collection of vintage British ceramics from various manufacturers. The group includes an Alfred Meakin oval serving platter featuring a deep burgundy-red rim decorated with gold-tone transfer-printed floral scrollwork and a lace-effect inner border. An S. Hancock and Sons Coronaware serving bowl is present, featuring a multi-lobed scalloped rim and an interior border of stylised orange and red flowers with black scrollwork and geometric motifs. Also included is a set of three Myott Staffordshire Olde Chelsea dinner plates with spiral-moulded swirl rims, decorated with floral sprays of yellow sunflowers and green foliage. The collection is completed by an Alfred Meakin porcelain serving bowl with a cream-coloured body, scalloped edge, and sprays of multi-coloured pastel flowers. Hand-written labels are affixed to the well of each piece.
