Lot 590: A Collection of Victorian and Edwardian Glass Apothecary and Poison Bottles
This assortment of antique glass containers includes various medicinal, apothecary, and household bottles of British origin, dating from the late 19th to the early 20th century. The collection features multiple cobalt blue and emerald green poison bottles, including a rectangular cobalt blue example embossed with the warning NOT TO BE TAKEN and several others with characteristic vertical tactile safety ribbing. A variety of clear glass apothecary bottles are present in rectangular, cylindrical, and hexagonal forms, one of which displays embossed lettering for ASHCO. The group is completed by several small clear glass vials, a wide-mouth amber glass jar, and a small cobalt blue vessel. The pieces are primarily mould-blown with finished necks.
