Lot 612: A Victorian London Sterling Silver Mounted Bone Handled Carving Set by Arnos Ltd
A Victorian two-piece carving set by Arnos Ltd, London. The set comprises a carving knife and a fork, both featuring spiral-carved bone handles. The handles are fitted with sterling silver ferrules and decorative pommels. The steel knife blade is stamped ARNOS.LD. The silver ferrules are struck with British hallmarks, including the lion passant for sterling silver and the leopard’s head for the London assay office. The pommels are embossed with a decorative crest. The set is presented in its original fitted wooden case with a quilted red satin lid lining and a burgundy velvet base featuring recesses for three items.
