This decorative jug is constructed from rolled and soldered sheet metal, featuring a tapered cylindrical body that flares at the base and a wide, pointed spout. It is fitted with a simple, high-arched metal handle. The exterior is decorated in a rustic French country style with a large printed graphic of a white cockerel standing in a grassy field against a pinkish-red background. The background features vintage-style French text, including the primary phrase Lever de Soleil and a cursive inscription transcribed as A Monsieur le président de la Société d’agriculture du Puy-de-Dôme. A modern white adhesive auction label for HCP Auctions South West, lot 653, is attached near the base. The piece exhibits an intentionally weathered aesthetic.
