Lot 667: A Collection of Vintage Trade Card Albums, Cigarette Cards, and Stamps
An assortment of vintage paper ephemera including trade and cigarette card albums and loose cards primarily dating from the 1930s and 1940s. Included is a large-format album titled Our South African Birds / Ons Suid-Afrikaanse Voëls, which is identified as a complete edition from the 1940s. The lot contains several W.D. and H.O. Wills Cigarette Picture-Card Albums, including examples marked as small size and priced at one penny. A Brooke Bond tea card album titled Les Indiens du Canada is present, representing the French language edition of the Indian Indians series. A selection of loose and sleeved trade cards depicts various steam locomotives in colour. Also included is a strip of five British decimal commemorative stamps featuring black and white photographic sporting scenes with small coloured icons, in denominations of 26, 31, 34, 41, and 50.
