Lot 731: A Multi-Volume Set of Literary Classics, A Quarto Edition of Frithiof's Saga, and Two Religious Volumes
A collection of volumes comprising a uniform set of literary classics and three individual works. The set features multiple volumes of classic literature including titles such as Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, Vanity Fair by W.M. Thackeray, Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë, and Gulliver’s Travels by Jonathan Swift. Each volume in the matching set is bound in black grained leatherette with ornate gilt-stamped decorative spines. The collection also includes a quarto-sized edition of Esaias Tegnér’s Frithiof’s Saga, bound in reddish-brown cloth with decorative gilt stamping to the upper board. Also present is a large octavo-sized Bible in a worn black leather binding with gilt spine lettering, and a pocket-sized volume of the New Testament and Psalms bound in black grained leather with gilt cover titles.
