A set of four rustic folk-art driftwood side chairs. Each chair is constructed with a frame made from natural, unpeeled tree branches, featuring irregular curves and knots throughout. The primary joints are secured with a combination of mechanical fixings and decorative thick sisal or hemp rope lashings. The seats are composed of five vertical slats of weathered, reclaimed timber, some of which retain historic remnants of red, green, and white paint. The backrests vary in design, utilizing the natural forms of the branches to create unique, organic shapes for each piece. The wood appears to be a mix of local hardwoods in their natural state, with bark textures consistent with birch or oak.
