Lot 826: An Edwardian Figured Mahogany Kneehole Desk and Matching Stool
A figured mahogany kneehole desk or dressing table featuring a raised gallery backboard with a central hand-carved shell and foliate scroll motif. The top surface is finished with figured veneers above a frieze containing three drawers. The twin pedestals are decorated with vertical carved rope-twist gadrooned detailing and contain additional storage compartments, all standing on short turned bun feet. The lot includes a matching rectangular stool upholstered in a dark brown material, possibly leather or rexine, finished with brass-headed tacks and supported by four turned legs.
