Lot 828: Three Chinese Carved Hardwood Furniture Pieces Including a Desk and Two Nested Stools
A set of three Chinese carved hardwood furniture items comprising a kneehole desk and two matching nested stools. The desk features a rectangular top with an inset panel and a deeply carved foliate and floral border. To the right-hand side is a stack of two drawers, each with recessed handles carved in a stylised cloud motif. The desk is supported by four curved, squared legs. Included are two matching nested stools designed to fit within the kneehole area. The pieces are constructed from a medium-toned solid hardwood with a prominent grain. A loose piece of plate glass is provided for the desk top.
