Lot 844: A George III style mahogany finished bow fronted side table
A twentieth-century reproduction side table or dressing table in the George III style. The piece features a bow-fronted top accented with carved egg-and-dart decorative moulding to the front and side edges. Below the top are two frieze drawers, each fitted with a circular brass ring-pull handle and circular backplate. The table is supported by four slender, square tapered legs terminating in brass castors. The construction comprises a mix of solid wood and veneers with a dark mahogany-toned stain. A white rectangular adhesive label printed with the number 844 is present on the front-left corner of the top. A small pink circular adhesive label with the handwritten number 32 is attached to the upper right drawer front, with a second pink label located on the lower left corner of the top. No manufacturer marks or stamps are visible on the exterior or interior components.
