Lot 886: A Bentwood Coat and Hat Stand
A dark-stained bentwood hall stand designed for the storage of hats, coats, and umbrellas. The upper tier is configured with six large, double-scroll hooks radiating from a central turned finial. The central supporting column is mounted to a splayed four-point base, which is reinforced by a circular bentwood hoop serving as an integrated rail for umbrellas or walking sticks. The piece is constructed from steam-bent beech and joined with visible metal screw fixings.
