Lot 902: A Set of Four George II Style Mahogany Dining Side Chairs
A set of four George II style mahogany dining side chairs. Each chair features a shaped crest rail with rounded ears over a pierced vase-shaped fiddle back splat. The chairs are constructed from mahogany and feature drop-in seats currently upholstered in a light beige floral damask fabric. Mortise and tenon joinery is visible where the splats meet the crest rails and seat frames. Each chair bears a small white rectangular sticker with the printed numeral 13. One chair also bears a printed auction label for W and H Peacock, Lot 902.
