Lot 906: A Twentieth Century Tudor Revival Oak Welsh Dresser
A mid-twentieth century oak Welsh dresser of two-tier construction. The upper rack section features a scalloped frieze over two plate shelves, supported by bulbous turned side columns. The base consists of a sideboard featuring three frieze drawers, each decorated with relief-carved scrolling and fitted with turned wooden knobs. Below the drawers is a two-door cupboard; the doors are decorated with four vertical arched panels in a stylised linenfold design. The piece is supported on a plinth with a shaped apron. Hardware includes circular turned wooden knobs to the drawers and cupboards, and the doors are mounted on dark metal H-style hinges. Two white rectangular stickers are present: one to the upper right support numbered 9506 and one to the right side of the drawer tier numbered 906.
